1. Why should I use an ad network?
By using an ad network, you can have a single point of contact to monetize your
ad inventory which is the most important part of running your online business. An
Ad Network would provide you ads all the 365 days of the year and give you the access
to huge volumes of advertisers. If you choose the right one, it will take care of
serving the ads that will give you the best returns.
2. Why Social Media Exchange?
Social Media Exchange is a revolutionary internet advertising and publisher network,
which focuses on enabling optimized inventory management to match the evolving needs
of online advertisers. It follows an innovative multiple publisher program, which
enables it to deliver focused audiences globally. For publishers, SMX has the capacity
to fill 100% of your ad inventory, which means that the publisher do not have go
with other networks, unless you choose to do so.
3. How does the publisher program work?
SMX offers you various IAB standard size banners (728x90, 300x250, 120x600, 160x600,
468x60, Popunders and Interstitials) which host hundreds of advertisers from all
over the globe. We have incorporated results-driven technologies along with timely
management to maximize income from the impressions served. We will create your account
and send you the logins through which you can take the tags to run on your site.
Once placed you may log in and follow your hourly income online.
4. Can I become a SMX Publisher?
Yes, most sites with minimal traffic and decent content are accepted to the network.
5. Must my site be in English?
No, SMX Publishers place banners on sites in ANY language.
6. Do you work with publishers from all countries?
Yes, we welcome publisher from all countries.
7. Does it cost anything to become a SMX Publisher?
No it is absolutely free to join. So sign-up, place our tags and starting earning
a monthly income.
8. Am I contractually bound to run SMX ads over any course of time?
No, the agreement is non-exclusive and open ended.
9. What are your requirements for a site to be accepted into your network?
Site must have a decent traffic, and must align with the requirement and needs of
our advertisers.
10. What's the average inventory fill rate?
SMX is capable of filling 100% of the inventory supplied to us by our publishers.
11. Can I use SMX Tags along with other Network ads?
Yes. Publishers can run ads along with other network ads.
12. Do I have access to stats to view my revenue?
YES. All SMX publishers have unlimited access to all of their stats and revenue
information.
13. Where can I see my Revenues?
The revenue you generate could be seen under “Net Pub Comp” when you generate reports.
The revenue seen is in USD.
14. Can I add more than one site to my account?
Yes. Just send us an email with the additional URLs and we will add the additional
sites to your account upon review.
15. Can I use the same tags on two different sites?
It is better not to do so as the advertisers are looking to target the channel of
your site. Each site should approved and be classified according to its channel
before creating tags for it.
16. How many advertisers and creatives do you have?
At any given time, SMX is running with more than 25,000 creatives.
17. How many ads can I use on a page?
You may place upto a maximum of 3 tags on each page.
18. How much money will I make?
Publishers participate on a fixed revenue share model where they receive 60% of
the revenue generated by their inventory. Factors that affect how much money you
will make center around the amount and quality of your traffic.

20. Do you allow incentivized clicks?
No, incentivized clicks are strictly prohibited. Any publisher who uses these practices
will have his/her account terminated and all funds forfeited.
21. How will I receive payments?
Payouts are made by Cheque to all Indian Publishers and Paypal/MoneyBookers to all
outside of India Publishers.
22. Is there a minimum payout?
The minimum payment threshold is US$15. Publishers earning less than $15 in any
particular month will not be sent funds, however any amount less than the minimum
payment threshold are carried over until the $15 minimum is reached.
23. When am I paid?
Payments are made net 30 days. So, any payments for January traffic will be paid
in March.
24. What is the procedure of getting the payment?
We send the earnings report every month to raise invoice to all publishers who have
reached/crossed the minimum payment threshold of $15 on which basis you have to
send us the invoice. Once we receive the invoice, we pay the due amount. For all
Indian Publishers, we pay in INR through Cheque only. Therefore, we request all
Indian publishers to raise their Invoices in INR only. For all other Publishers,
they need to opt for MoneyBookers or Paypal mode.
25. Why do I need to raise any Invoice?
Since online advertisement attracts service tax, Publishers are required to raise
Invoice on “Social Media India Ltd” giving their Service tax No and Pan No. Providing
PAN is Mandatory and we will be deducting TDS on amount payable to you. The amount
for Invoice will be intimated to you through email every Month as this amount only
will be paid (irrespective of the claims made by the affiliate).
26. Will I be paid Service Tax?
Yes, service tax will be given to all those Publishers who have provided us the
Service Tax No. in their Invoice.

1. What is a Publisher?
A Publisher can be a website that promotes the products or services of an Advertiser
in exchange for a commission on leads or sales. The Publishers display banners,
text links or product links on their websites. In return, Advertisers pay commission
to Publishers when a visitor makes a lead or a sale through their websites.
2. How much will it cost me to join SMX?
Please refer Question 7 of “FAQ’s of CPM Publishers”
3. How many Advertiser Programs can I join?
There is no such limit. You can join as many programs as you like, provided the
Advertisers should accept your website to place their banners.
4. How can I choose ads to place on my website?
We allow you to view all the banners as well as the rates. You can click on any
banner which you wish to place on your website. Your request will be logged and
if the Advertiser approves your request, you will be sent a confirmation e-mail
to place the banner on your website.
5. How do I get paid?
Please refer Question 21, 23 & 24 of “FAQ’s of CPM Publishers”
6. What is the payment threshold?
Rs.500 for Cheque, Paypal & MoneyBookers.
7. Does SMX provide CPM offers too?
Yes. SMX provides CPM offers, the Publisher could choose either for Flat CPM or
go with Revenue Share model and payments are made on a net 30 basis. The total impressions
will be set to zero after payment. One POP under may come once in 24 hours.
8. My website offers Incentives/Rewards to our visitors. Am I eligible
to join SMX?
Yes. For this purpose, SMX has separate fields, Incentivized 'Yes' or 'No' for each
offer. You can select the Incentivized 'Yes' offers.
9. How do you check Fraud or SPAM?
We do not tolerate any kind of Fraud or SPAM and we take stern action to check it.
We will terminate the account immediately and all the earnings of the Publisher
will be forfeited.
10. How does SMX Work?
When Advertisers or Publishers join SMX, they become members of the SMX network.
They can access profiles, performance metrics and demographic statistics. It will
help them decide which websites best suits their own. We strive to build mutually
beneficial strong partnerships between the Advertisers and Publishers.

1. What is an Advertiser?
An Advertiser can be any website that sells products or services, receives payments
and executes orders. Advertisers place banners and links of their products and services
on other websites i.e. Publishers. Advertisers pay these Publishers a commission
for sales or leads that generate from their websites.
2. How much will it cost me to join SMX and to promote my website?
We have no joining/setup fees or monthly fees for you to join SMX. With as little
as Rs. 5,000 (which is your opening account balance meant to pay your Publisher
commissions), you can join SMX and promote your website.
3. Can I select the Publishers of my choice?
By all means. In fact, we would like you to take initiation in Publisher selection.
You can manually review and approve Publishers after viewing their websites, statistics
and website offerings. In addition, we provide you with a searching option with
a key word which will help you get rapid results.
4. Can I review my account balance at any time?
Yes. You can view your account balance at any time. You can increase your account
balance by clicking “Add funds to your account”.
5. What are the standard banner sizes that I should use?
You can use banners of any size. However, the standard and most common sizes used
include 120x600, 300x250, 728x90, 468x60, 160x600.
6. Can I replace banners and text links on the existing campaign?
Yes. You certainly can.?
